The IB Economics Diploma Programme forms part of Group 3 – Individuals and societies. This course also is available at higher and standard level. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is an assessed programme for students aged 16 to 19. Furthermore it is respected by leading universities across the globe.
The IB Economics course encourages students to develop international perspectives, fosters a concern for global issues, and also raises students’ awareness of their own responsibilities at a local, national and international level. The course also seeks to develop values and attitudes that will enable students to achieve a degree of personal commitment in trying to resolve these issues, appreciating our shared responsibility as citizens of an increasingly interdependent world.
An IB Economics tutor through Osborne Cawkwell will help students engage in current issues debates, develop their critical awareness as well as reinforce concepts and link them to current affairs. A tutor can also help with essay technique and writing skills where necessary. Lastly, tutors will help their students work through past exam papers to ensure they are fully prepared for the end of year exams.
