The IB Music Diploma Programme forms part of Group 6 – The arts and is available at higher and standard level. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is an assessed programme for students aged 16 to 19. Furthermore the course is respected by leading universities across the globe.
The IB Music course helps students develop their knowledge and potential as musicians, both personally and collaboratively. The course also involves aspects of composition, performance and critical analysis of music. Furthermore the course exposes students to forms, styles and functions of music from a wide range of historical and socio-cultural contexts.
An IB Music tutor through Osborne Cawkwell will help students with all areas of the course including composition and technique. Finally a tutor will support and extend independent learning, develop a student’s critical and creative skills, and work through past exam papers.
