Pre-U Geography exams are set by the Cambridge International Board, CIE. More and more schools are choosing for their students to sit the Pre-U exams either instead of, or mixed with, A Levels.
The Pre-U Geography qualification equips learners with the skills required to make a success of their subsequent studies at university. There are four components: geographical issues, global environments, global themes and a research topic. In addition each component is assessed through a written examination. Furthermore over the two-year course, learners develop the enquiry skills necessary to understand and explain geographical issues.
A Geography tutor through Osborne Cawkwell will help a student acquire understanding of the way that values, circumstances and attitudes impact on relationships and interactions between people and environment. Finally a tutor can help a student apply geographical knowledge to a variety of exam questions, ensuring they are confident for the final exams.
