The Pre-U Physics exams are set by the Cambridge International Board, CIE. More and more schools are choosing for their students to sit the Pre-U exams either instead of, or mixed with, A Levels.
The Pre-U Physics qualification gives learners a firm foundation in classical physics, along with an introduction to some intellectually stimulating modern concepts such as special relativity, quantum physics and astrophysics. In addition the course develops learners’ understanding of the historical development of some concepts of physics, and the link between experiment and theory. Furthermore the course allows some degree of flexibility, enabling teachers to adapt their teaching to suit the differing needs of learners.
A Pre-U Physics tutor through Osborne Cawkwell will help build a student’s confidence in physics. A tutor will also explain concepts, build and extend subject knowledge as well as help construct study and revision plans. Finally tutors will help students work through past exam papers, ensuring they are fully prepared for the exams.
