The Pre-U Spanish exams are set by the Cambridge International Board, CIE. More and more schools are choosing for their students to sit the Pre-U exams either instead of, or mixed with, A Levels.
The Pre-U Spanish course offers a fresh and rewarding approach to teaching and learning modern foreign languages. Furthermore the course offers learners engaging opportunities to develop their confidence and acquisition of Spanish. As a result the course prepares students well for university. In addition the syllabus moves away from an emphasis on classroom language towards an immersion in authentic Spanish and culture. This includes elements from the news, media, radio, television and the Internet.
A Pre-U Spanish tutor through Osborne Cawkwell will help consolidate a student’s learning across the syllabus: helping them develop their written, spoken and listening skills. Tutors will also help students master exam technique by working through example papers. Finally tutors will help expand students knowledge in a particular area of cultural interest.
