I began my teaching career in 1982, working at MPW, one of London’s premier independent sixth form colleges. In 1990, I began a 15-year career in the wine trade and then gradually returned to teaching. Initially via tutoring and then in 2006 returning to work at MPW as a teacher of mathematics and statistics, where I remain to this day. I teach A Level Maths and Statistics but also teach 13+ Common Entrance and GCSE. In addition, I am an examiner for the Edexcel examination board. My goal is always to identify any blocks to learning that the student may have, and present the material in the simplest possible way. I also aim to remove anxieties and making learning more enjoyable. I also teach maths at university level, statistics and econometrics modules for various degree subjects, and have helped many students prepare for numeracy and professional exams, as well as SAT and GMAT tests for entrance to American universities.
